Inspire HR not counting steps

My Inspire HR suddenly stopped counting steps. I kept walking and walking but it doesn’t register steps, however it still keeps track of time and heart rate correctly. I’ve rebooted my device several times as suggested by other posts but that didn’t help. App is updated, force closed, Bluetooth disconnected and reconnected. It syncs correctly with the app so the issue here is that it’s not recording the steps at all.. what to do?
