Inspire HR not found, shows setup message

So, my Inspire HR was working fine for about a month, then a few days ago stopped recording my heartbeat and sleep patterns.

I had the time to check it out today. First it said that it synced, then it just sorta reset itself and started telling me I need to download or update the Fitbit app.

Have reset the Fitbit 3 times, reinstalled the app, checked to see that the fitbit isn't in my phone's remembered Bluetooth devices, restarted my phone.

So very frustrated as the HR was the main reason I chose this model. Now I have a £100 plastic bracelet 😞

@IamJen Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Sorry to hear about this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you setup your tracker by following these instructions, just as if were new. Once setup the link should be reestablished and should sync again.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, I should have been clear that I did try this as well. The app just can't seem to find the FitBit still.

@IamJen thank you for confirming this. If this is the case then please try clearing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

See you around.
