My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

I have gotten tons of responses commiserating with me but no solutions and most say that customer service for this Inspire HR has helped them at all. I did swim with it this week and it tracked by steps, not swimming?? I went from 900 steps to 2400 for a 45 min swim? Maybe I just don't know how to use the thing but it is not easy to figure out is it?

Mine isn't linked to anything except my iPad, iPhone and and my PC computer. Of course that is how I sync it every day with my phone through the app. But I do not understand swimming at all, I went in with it on and it tracked "steps" so is that the way it works? How can you equate steps with swimming for 45 min?

Good luck,

Linda

Having the same experience. The sleeping begin time is often inaccurate, just a few nights ago it said I went to sleep at 12:30 when I was asleep by 10:30. Someone told me their watch is 2 hours off and they just adjust but I feel the same way, what is the point? And then they really aren't studying your sleep patterns are they?

What to do , what it do........

My Flex 2 use to track swimming in terms of lengths....I have not swam with my Inspire yet but then again my (Un)Inspired tracker is not tracking any of my exercise so I imagine swimming would be no different.  It does count my steps but as far as logging exercise I get absolutely nothing.  Should've sent it back right after I got it....worst tracker ever!

Apparently no one actually from Fitbit reads about or cares about any of these issues.  Time to find a new tracker!

Since I started this thread months ago to point out my problems with the sleep tracking function, a FitBit mod or rep has responded 2 or 3 times with worthless (non solutions) . That was only in the first few weeks. Haven’t heard from FitBit in 2 months. Obviously they don’t care and have no intention of fixing. Whenever I see a post in an online review or YouTube , I throw in my 2 cents about how bad the InspireHR is.

Hi, all.  Have you checked to make sure that the heartrate is turned on?  on your main screen swipe down until you come to settings, then tap your Inspire HR.  In the settings menu swipe up until you come to heartrate and tap to toggle between ON and OFF.

Hi was defending Inspire with the extra steps situation and was about to say i'm now annoyed as it had  been 48hrs with no HR or full sleep track... Low and behold before complaining I read this blog from the beginning and found @Julia_G advise and it is now back on track I had mistakenly turned off the HR... so continue to say love this watch but it is sensitive.. I am a very restless sleeper and have already been woken up by watch telling me to relax in the middle of the night or i was pressing it or it sensed it  😉

I have the basic Inspire not Inspire HR so unfortunately this solution does not help me.

What is your problem if you do not have a HR?

Doesn't record sleep. According to the Inspire HR, I haven't slept since
July 6.

Is that why you are so rustic? hehe. We have to laugh or we would cry over the discrepancies of the Inspire HR

Same problem as everyone else...The Inspire is not tracking my sleep....or my exercise or a few other things that my Flex 2 was tracking.  The Inspire is the same as Inspire HR with the only difference being that it does not track your Heart Rate, it is suppose to track everything else....not sure why this is hard to understand.

Inspire HR is supposed to track sleep via your heart rate. That’s how it works. No HR no sleep tracking.

My HR no has stopped tracking sleep correctly now too. When can we expect a resolution to this issue?

Yes checked and its ON, also set sleep in advanced settings to sensitive.

Not true....I had the Flex 2 before the Inspire and it tracked my sleep with no problems at all...and it had nothing to do with heart rate as Flex 2 does not even have a HR feature.  The same applies to Inspire.  It does not need your heart rate to accurately track your sleep.

Sorry, you’re right. I was wrong. Going to give you time to see this and then I’ll delete my reply to not confuse people.

I don’t want to contribute to any more confusion but I know where Luvmymom is coming from: The number one suggestion from FB customer service is to “make sure HR is on” to resolve sleep tracking issue with Inspire HR.

That being said, the problem continues as does FitBit’s lack of response and their contempt of customers.
