My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

after reading through a ton of these comments I'm seeing the sleep tracking on the Inspire HR is not polished at all.

heart rate tracking is on etc. i've updated firmware and reset as well but the sleep tracking is just not accurate at all... it will lose track of entire nights of sleep and not show anything when syncing.

would be a really cool feature though if it worked.

My sleep tracking had finally been working after months of frustration and non-stop efforts on my part to find a solution but apparently FitBit decided to do yet another useless update earlier this week and now it is no longer working again.  If you have not already bought an Inspire, I highly recommend that you do not.

FitBit is not helpful at all. Any suggestions simply do not work.
Does anyone truly need a FitBit?
No!

My Inspire stopped tracking my sleep and my heart rate  monitor is on. It also stopped lighting up when I turn my wrist over. I’m bummed my old Alta HR worked perfectly for years.

I gave up. It lies at the bottom of some drawer somewhere. I seem to be surviving.

LOL. That's too bad. I'm going to try to return it and go back to my Alta. My husband got it for me to wear while I'm swimming. It took me three Alta's to get a good one!

  • Thank you so much!  You solved my issue with the sleep app.  Now I wonder why the start sleep is even on the fitbit app?  Would you re-issuing your comments or do you mind if I copy and paste your instructions for others to view, there are a lot of recent folks out there in fitbit land having the same issue, which turns out not to be an issue at all with the fitbit itself!

You say the issue is not with the fitbit itself.
Then who is responsible for the issue and why is it impossible to fix?
I have moved on.
It was a bad buy.

I didn’t do anything maybe you have the wrong person however I did get mine to work by doing everything that everyone said. 1. Restarted 2. Restarted phone 3. Changed clock face 4. Wore it on a tighter notch 5. Made sure the HR setting was ON 6. Forgot the device and reconnected it 7. Made sure lightbulb was on ( this corrected the not lighting up problem). The thing I don’t understand ... why did the HR go off in the first place? And why did the light bulb go off in the first place? I just hope it keeps working.

I have no idea whether or not your question about copying and pasting instructions was directed at me or someone else....how does one tell...but if it was me by all means share with whomever you like.  My sleep tracker was working perfectly until they did an update at the end of Sep and then it stopped for a few days but mysteriously started working again on it's own and everything has been functioning perfectly ever since.  Best of luck with yours!

So what I experienced was the sleep app did not work proper (details were not available) when I used the sleep start up from the app. I read someone’s response and she suggested to let the fitbit be by wearing and letting it acknowledge I was sleeping and voila! all the details were there the next morning when it synced. Do not use the start up in the app, it won’t give the details. That was my primary reason for getting the fitbit so that is why I said the problem I had was not with the fitbit itself. Maybe others have different problems but this did resolve mine.

So sorry! It was Julia_G that posted and I was intending to reply!
Yes, thanks mine is working fine now that I learned not to use the start sleep via the app 🙂

I am not saying that because if I continue to have problems it is going back too. I've had fitbits for years though and I need the sleep tracking for my peace of mind. If you can do without it return it for sure!! I'm just saying mine is working again. I can go back to my old Alta if it starts screwing up again.

My Fitbit Inspire HR has not tracked sleep stages for 2 nights. Had the watch for a week & has been fine up to now.

Anyone tell me why this has stopped working please?

Right? And they are warranted to be in working order! FYI you have 45 to return or get it replaced! You should do it quickly!
