Inspire HR shows no green light and Heart rate stop functioning

Not sure if anyone faced this problem but the heart rate function on my Inspire HR stop functioning. It is showing grey and ‘—‘ on the tracker and the green light at the back is no longer there. I tried to restart (saw the smiley face), tried to rub alcohol, turn off, sync, turn on, sync but all of the above doesn’t seem to work. I’ve also tried wearing it slightly higher on the wrist, then tried lower but none work. Has anyone faced this before and have a working solution? Thanks.

I have the exact same problem as many here: no green light, dashed heart rate

also I have the vastly shortened battery durability problem someone remarked here

However, in the quick settings menu (2 second button menu) I do not have the function clip-wrist (only battery, screen wake, notifications).

anyone a solution for this problem ?

Didn't even think to look at this, thanks for the information. Apparently I set it to "on clip" without realizing it.

You’ll have to go on the Fitbit app on your phone or iPad and change the setting. Click on your name, then on the name of your fob. Wrist setting should show up.

With consideration to the clip Vd wrist setting. The information of cdd248 does

not work. In the said menu I only have the option whether I would use the dominant or non dominant wrist.

Update on my Fitbit: heart rate started working again after a long reload and kept working.

The battery onproblematisch, however, remained. So I suspect that causes the problem. I cannot use the Fitbit for two whole days, so I think after just a year of use a new one will be in order.

Possibly you have a different Fitbit which does not allow for clipping onto a waistband. I do have both the option of being on the wrist or on a clip.

I have issues with every fitbit when there’s an update and ALWAYS around the “end of warranty period”.  HOW STRANGE RIGHT.  Their advice is always to send me a 25% off my new one...HA!    I am now having the same problem and did an update, restart, cleaned twice, removed from phone..:same old same old again...better check if I’m at that special window where the warranty is up...RIDICULOUS!!!

If I could like this 1000 times I would!!  Same situation multiple times!!  Fitbit always messes up after an update and “mysteriously” at the end of warranty...this always happening with this company is garbage.

I wish I could like this 1000 times...same for me...all of it!!

Hi Xavier and anyone who have the same problem when looking up this forum.

So I had the exactly same problem as you, yes exactly every detail you listed here and I managed to solve it to my newly bought Inspire HR.

First, MAKE SURE you charge your fitbit to >50% battery!

Then, I cleaned all my data in my fitbit, and reboot it, while “forget this device” from my iPhone.

Then, I reconnect it while making sure my fitbit is almost fully charged. Follow it pair up steps again, and it solved my problem as the green light start flickering. What I did next was just completely the same as first setting up the fitbit to my phone.

So here are my suspicions on this issues were happened on me before:

1. You did not follow the steps correctly

2. Your fitbit did not have >50%battery when first pairing up.( this is my case)

3. Follows from 2, as your fitbit did not have >50% battery, it stop you from getting updates, hence interrupted your setup steps (charge fitbit > remove it and wear to your wrist)

I am having the same problem. All of a sudden the green light on the back goes off and on intermittently. My charge doesn’t last. Worked fine until yesterday then all heck broke loose.
