I have had my HR for 16 days been working fine. Today I received the firmware update my phone synced with fitbit at 12:56pm eastern time and has been locked up since. I can't sync with laptop or phone. MY actual fitibit on my wrist is working but there is no way to transfer info, record walks, exercise, or sleep. It will not sync and will NOT down load the update. It continually tells me it can't find the tracker. The tracker is sitting on the phone and computer. For a short time it seemed it was going to load the update there was a line across my tracker but then it kicked it out and that was that! I am being sent a replacement but not happy being only 16 days old and fine until this firmware update showed up.

After trying off and on all day today, my update finally happened - yay! That’s the good news - the bad news is that the update didn’t fix the fact that my Inspire will not sync correctly. It keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth and will not reconnect, no matter how many times I turn things off & on. I have not had this issue with any of the other Bluetooth enabled devices I have connected to my iPhone, including my previous Fitbit.
Is this tracker a lost cause?

Can I please know what bugs have been fixed and what improvements have been achieved in the new firmware?
I upgraded the OS this afternoon when it was charging. When the upgrade was done, the app on my phone said the battery is full but the batter on my Inspire HR showed 80%.
This is definitely a bug.
Days ago, the App said my active time was 90 minutes but actually I was driving:(

I've just tried to do the update and it's failed, and now my fitbit is totally unresponsive. I've tried holding the button to reset it but the screen stays blank. The battery ran out while it was updating (since the update took hours) but i've charged it now and it still won't respond. Any idea how I can fix this? It isn't giving me the option in the app to try the update again.

If it ever installs, I'll give some feedback. Attempt number 6 now. 3 times from phone and 2 times from PC.
Fitbit Inspire HR is on 100% battery (and connected to charge). It's been restarted. It gets to about a fifth of the way along the progress bar on the fitbit screen and then just hangs. Meanwhile the pc app is showing about 90% on the progress bar and then it tells me that the update failed. Repeat ad nauseum.
Edit: Attempt 6 failed in exactly the same way.
Edit 2: Attempt 7 actually worked. The app on Windows remained at "Updating" but the fitbit finally reached the end of the progress bar, rebooted and now has the latest firmware. It really shouldn't be this much of a faff!

Updating from iPhone. It gets one fifth of the way through and hangs forever. I’ve tried several times.

Oddly, I got this working by reconnecting the Fitbit to the charger each time it stopped. May be coincidence that it moved on each time I did so.

Now the Fitbit will not sync properly. If I forget the device on Bluetooth it will sync if I do it manually. But if I try to use all day sync, it seems to try to constantly connect but nothing happens .

I'd like to know too. I clicked the "release" link and it doesn't have an option for the inspire HR so there is no more info 😕

Thank you Matt. Is there any plans for a software update that will allow users to modify what is viewable on the Fitbit, ie. remove what is not wanted on the wrist? Also, the font is so small for the steps that it is not viewable in sunlight at all. Maybe, take the step count back to two digits 5.2 vice 5.234 and removing the feet icon would allow more room. I been running a blog and so many people have posted the same concerns. Help please?

Hi everyone! I wanted to chime in here after an absence of being on the forums (I guess real life kicked in haha)
So I let me watch run down to nothing and then I heard about the Firmware update. I charged up my FitBit to the max using the suggested guidelines for charging, and then let it charge. I completed the firmware update (took a little over 20 minute to complete)
I'm starting to notice significantly better battery life when using the Valerie watch face and other faces. But I would like to know why we can't have details.
In the mean time I will continue to update everyone on my experience.
By the way, I am using Sony Xperia 10 with the Feb Android update. My phone is synching properly with Android 9 so I don't know why there are other complaints on the boards when mine is working OK. Maybe its the bluetooth version I have.
Hope all is well with everyone, more to chime in later.

It took over an hour to update my Inspire HR to 1.60.39. IIRC, the previous firmware update also took this long. Even with the 1.60 firmware, my Insipre HR still can't find my to get GPS info when I start an exercise. The phone has no problem syncing it to get step count and heart beat.
