I was initially excited to see that Fitbit was offering what I thought was a replacement for the One tracker that I love! I has since discovered that the inspire does not track stairs and therefore falls short of replacing its predecessor. Why has Fitbit refused to meet the demand and offer a clip on replacement for the Fitbit one there is obviously a market for the device. So far my One is still working but I'm always on the look out for a comparable replacement, I was hoping that I would find it within the Fitbit family of products but sadly my quest continues.

I am beyond annoyed with this situation. After 4 years, my Fitbit One, which I loved, finally stopped holding a charge (planned obsolescence?). My Fitbit One clip worked beautifully - I never lost it and it always fit securely on my pants, skirts or even my tights. I have no interest in wearing a tracker on my wrist, as I prefer to wear jewelry or a traditional watch of my own choosing rather than an ugly plastic band and tracker. I was so excited when I read about the Inspire and I just purchased the basic Inspire and a waist clip. Now I discover that the Inspire will not track stairs/floors. My old Fitbit One tracked stairs/floors quite accurately. What gives, Fitbit? Unfortunately, I'm now stuck with this tracker with fewer features than my old Fitbit One, but the next time I'm in the market for a tracker, it won't be a Fitbit. Aaaaarrrrgh.

I just got a Inspire a few weeks ago and just notice it was not counting floors. Search Fitbit site and found out despite the fact that Fitbit product description says it does it does not. This was not good news. I have been using a Fitbit for over 8 years and have resisted moving of the Fitbit One which I love. I would like to keep track of floors so I tried to reinitialize the Fitbit One. I got a bunch of error messages and gave up and went for a walk. I got back and was putting my Fitbit One away when I notice it was sync with my phone. I quickly separated the the 2 device and went for a test walk to see if it updated my online stats and it did. So while using the Fitbit one I can keep track of floors. I actually find it hard to believe that 2 devices can work at the same time but for time being this is how I will keep track of floor. Be interested if anyone else try’s this approach to compare notes on how it works.
