Hi I am having the issue with no screen. I have tried the resetting several times. I get a smiley face and then it goes blank again. I have tried changing clock face several times again no success. It seemed to happen after charging today. It was fine before that. It is still syncing but no screen. Any other ideas?

I ended up contacting Fitbit and they organised a replacement as it was still under warranty

My Inspire HR went blank after doing the firmware update yesterday.  The update said it was successful, but the watch display never came back.  When trying to access it in the Fitbit Android app, it says the update was incomplete, which then tries to complete but fails.  Went through an entire troubleshooting process with Fitbit chat support, but nothing worked.  After unpaired, it is seen by the app via bluetooth, but because I can't see the display, I can't get the four digits to complete repairing.

The only solution offered now is a discount on a new Fitbit.  So the Fitbit firmware update broke my Fitbit (out of warranty), but Fitbit gets a new sale out of it?  A cynical person would see this as a sales boost technique, like when Apple was caught slowing down older devices to help spur sale of new devices...

I would warn people against the Inspire (or maybe all) firmware updates, if they can be avoided.  I don't see any other complaints on firmware updates, but I have a hard time thinking mine is the only device of any kind that has had this kind of problem.  Sorry, more cynicism.

Update: I was able to see many, many more complaints about firmware updates when searching on 'firmware' within this thread, whereas searching on that key word at the top level (Inspire/HR) only returned some info on other models' firmware updates, so I apparently don't understand how the Community Search function works.

That happened to me as well. During the firmware update my Inspire HR stopped completely. I only have strong steady green light on the back and that's it. Chatting with support rep didn't help. They say that support team will contact me through email. Will see. But for now no solution in sight.

I’m in this same predicament, now the device is no longer syncing, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I called the customer care last week and my replacement arrived today under warranty. It might be worth a call.

Have tried to restart, but nothing happens.  The fitbit is working and shows steps and full charge when I sync with my phone, but there is no display.

I am having the same problem.  I have tried all of the "fixes" I have found and nothing has worked.

Hi there,

I kept putting it on the charger and trying to sync on the app, EVENTUALLY it came back to life but the battery life was very diminished, it went from 100% to flat in a day.
I changed the clock face a couple of times and now the battery lasts around 3 days.
Think this is the best I can manage.
Am yet to receive a reply from Fitbit.
Disappointing as this is my 3rd one, previous models have both died.

I phoned and spoke to someone and got a replacement as it was still under 2 year warranty.

I am also having the same issue.  I have tried resetting a few times, changing the face, trying different USB chargers and even updating the app. Nothing seems to be working for me.  I have the inspire 2

Forgot the charger for my Inspire 2 when I was on vacation so the battery ran down.  Charged it when I got home and the screen never came back on.  I can do a reset and the smiley face appears but nothing after.  The buttons still give haptic feedback and the device syncs with the app fine (still tracking).  I tried changing clock faces and a loading bar will appear on the device as it downloads a new face, but then it goes back to black.  Any advice?

Hi Good Morning.  I am having a hard time fixing my Fitbit Inspire HR. There is still no display even I already followed the instructions. Changing time display and rebooting. Ive been using my watch even when swimming but display went off from the last i went swimming. However it still vibrates ans connects with the app on my phone. Do you have any idea how i can recover the display? Thank you

Looks like it's already dead. I had the same issue too, and since its over a year, it's no longer under warranty. Ends up I bought one second hand from another person online.
