Inspire step tracking is incorrect

Just purchased Inspire tracker.  Wore it on my wrist and found the number of steps are completely out of line.  Removed band and put the tracker inside my sock and got much more accurate readings.  Why is it that Fitbit does not provide options for people to wear it either on wrist or ankle?

@1688 Thanks for stopping by!

Let me help you with your Inspire step count. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non-dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement. Since the tracker was designed to get notifications and other features the best place to be worn in the wrist. In your specific tracker's case you have the option to wear in with a belt clip (only available on the Fitbit Inspire) as you can read here.

While I am not sure how plausible it is to wear your tracker on ankle you can still share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes.
