MFP duplicate exercise on Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have my fitbit linked to the Myfitnesspal app from Underarmour. When i go cycling i start an exercise on my fitbit. This then automatically also enters in my exercise tab of the other app and then fitnit adds second exercise from myfitnesspal. This the one that it itself added but this records my exercis twice in the fitbit app. Is there a way to solve this?

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your activity syncing between MFP and Fitbit. The link between the apps will sync steps and calories from Fitbit to MFP and will sync activities, food and weight logs from MFP to Fitbit. If you log your activity on MFP besides letting it be detected/recorded by the tracker then the activity will duplicate on Fitbit as you have seen. You will need to either remove the duplicate activity or just manually log it on MFP and let that activity sync to Fitbit. At this time this can't be changed but you can reach out to MFP support to see if they can implement a change on how this feature works. You can also share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the help. It is indeed the strava app that logs to MFP and then this that copies to fitbit. I will just manually rmeove them from now on.

@SunsetRunner thank you for your reply.

Strava does get GPS tracked activities from Fitbit so this explain how the activities go from Fitbit to MFP. I wasn't really sure what was happening as I know this isn't possible directly from Fitbit to MFP. Still thank you for trying this and hope you keep up all your daily activity and stay safe and healthy.

I'll be around.
