Hi Louahn77,
I've got an iPhone XR and get the same weirdness going on everytime iOS updates.
I see issues with syncing and notifications not getting passed to the watch.
Bit of a workaround but I resort to the following:
1. Search up "FitBit" in the AppStore on your iOS device and tap on the FitBit icon (NOT the "OPEN" button).
2. Once it opens to the full page for the FitBit app, for myself atleast, the 'Open' button suddenly changes to an "Update" button.
3. Tap on "Update" to install the newest version
4. Reboot your watch by going into it's 'Settings' section and select "Reboot Device"
Hope it helps.
Best of luck,

Thanks! In the meantime I have disconnected the Fitbit account and reinstalled the watch again. It works now!
