Replacement Inspire HR won't charge

Hey all!

I received my replacement device in the mail today, as the one I bought in Feb from Amazon died just over a week ago.

So I went to plug in the "new one" and... NOTHING. The charge cable connects, but not vibration or indication of the battery charging. The green lights flash when I wiggle it, something my original one stopped doing, but nothing else. I hold the button down until the smiley face shows up, but then the screen goes black.

I have plugged it in to both my PC and a wall charger.

Could it be my cable is fried?

@magentahaze Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not charging and thank you for trying different charging ports. I would like to suggest you clean the actual charging cable ports with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to discard this possibility.

Let me know how it goes.

I have done that as well, with no change in the results.

The green lights flash on the back of the device when it is moved, and the smile will appear on screen when the charge cable is attached and plugged in, after pressing the side button for about 20 seconds, but then no response and a blank screen.
