Good morning,
I have the Inspire HR screen disabled as I usually wear a watch on the other hand, and the bracelet’s main use is as tracker.
Although it’s disabled, sometimes it lights up when I do a sudden movement with my arm (no double tap or clicking the side button). It’s especially uncomfortable when sleeping, as sometimes moving myself the bracelet would be on and waking me up with the light.
Anyone has the same issue? Is there any setting to fully disable the screen (apart from the configuration setting on the bracelet) or dim the light to the minimum?
Thanks

I am having the same issue. I have the quick setting turned off for screen waking up, but it still lights up randomly or when my shirt brushes up against the tracker.

Nice to have you here, @KarinaU and @AlexBarreras! How are you?
Thanks for sharing your comments and personal experience with Fitbit Inspire. It's possible that the tracker isn't very tight on your wrist or when you're moving your arm you're accidentally touching the screen. When you turn off "Screen Wake" The screen will still come on if it gets tapped as that is expected since the Fitbit Inspire HR screen is very sensitive.
Thanks a million for sharing this information with us. I've passed the feedback with our team. Let me know if you need me to open a case for this inquiry.
I'll be around.

I have the same issue and although this is most likely the reason why it's happening, I feel like this is counterintuitive with the purpose of the Screen Wake off feature. Considering the sensitivity of the screen, could we either control the option of the screen sensitivity OR completely disable the touchscreen whereby the only mechanism is by pressing the side button?
To further add to the wish list, it would be great if we could setup a Do Not Disturb function similar to Apple Watch where we can control what times during the day the Screen Wake feature will work or not work - but that would be a nice to have 🙂

I'm trying hard to switch from the apple watch to the inspire but this lack of do not disturb function might be a show stopper. i just cant deal with it turning on randomly, especially at night. my sleep watch prompts me for reasons i've started waling up at night and i need a "fitbit screen" as an option

I’m afraid this might be a reason enough to return the inspire hr. I have a very light sleep and any light can wake me up. I purchased the device for the sleep tracker but I’ve been awaken every single night with the light...

I have the Google pixel 3 and can not seem to find the quick gesture's option to turn off, not from the app or online site. It keeps waking me up at night. Any assistance in finding this setting would be great.

The only way I found was to do it from the device itself. It’s below the battery icon.
It would be great to activate the no disturb option. I’m considering trying other bracelets from different brands, it’s very uncomfortable to be awake just because of this light!

I think this is something that the Dev team should be reviewed ASAP, as it’s bothering most of us, and it’s the main reason for changing to a different band.
I’m testing a couple more brands myself this weekend, and if they perform better, I definitely would be returning the inspire

You can turn off screen wake by long pressing the side button (2 secs) and then clicking the 'light bulb' - That should work in terms of not having it glow up randomly at night, although you'd have to turn it back on in the daytime if its a feature you appreciate in the day without having to press the button. Not sure if that would suit your purposes?

Thanks but it’s already disabled. The issue is that the screen is very sensitive and it lights up when a rough movement happens. I’m sure you can replicate this just clapping two or three times your hands. Honestly it’s very uncomfortable and I don’t foresee an easy fix here

Hi folks! I have moved a few posts here to help keep the community tidy.
@AlexBarreras Thanks for providing such candid feedback regarding Inspires screen wake sensitivity. This information has been forwarded to our product team.
For any newcomers to the thread, screen wake can be toggled on/off by holding down the button on Inspire and tapping on 'Screen Wake'. Note: even with screen wake turned off, your screen will still light up when double tapped.
If your tracker's screen is still lighting up, it might be a good idea to review our recommendations for daily wear. Since the pebble on Inspire is a tad sensitive, it could be detecting 'taps' while moving on your wrist.
Hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks @MattFitbit for your reply and for the recommendations for daily wear!
Since day 1 I’ve had the screen wake turned off. The problem is the “tad sensitive”, as the band detects taps when moving my wrist for example when I’m sleeping, and it usually wakes me up. It would be great to have a do not disturb setting which forces the Inspire to wake the screen only clicking the side
It would be great to have this “issue” fixed. I’ve seen that I’m not the only one bothered by this feature so hopefully this can be addressed on a Firmware update soon.

"a tad sensitive" last night i discovered the inspire wakes when cooking - when the knife hits the cutting board from chopping or slicing a hard cheese.

Thanks. Let us know what happens in the end... I have a couple of weeks before the return window expires and I’d be considering other brands or even the Alta HR. I can’t understand why the Product Team didn’t notice this flaw......

I submitted a feature suggestions in that forum, so if you guys vote it up, maybe they will finally consider it.
But yes, it is sensitive. Why have that double-tap feature if there is a button?
I figured a three mode option with button only, button and double-tap, and then gesture which include all three.
