Just want to see time. This thing keeps running a stop watch.  I never started a stop watch an exercise or asked for it to begin.

I'm guessing you accidentally started an exercise session, or maybe just the stopwatch.  In either case, try pressing the left button, maybe takes a few presses to get out.  If see something like "finish", tap that  to end the exercise.

Left button is usually the step to get out of anything, or go back a screen.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
