So I've been reading all the posts of sync issues and app recording issues (poor or no sleep tracking and additional steps incorrectly added to app) and I'm wondering, is all this "created" by Google to try and force people to move their accounts over to google so they can mine our data? Does anyone who has migrated to a Google account have these same issue we are all having?
I personally have no intention of moving to a Google account. I'm currently researching non fitbit/Google devices to replace my fitbit. I've used fitbit for over 10 years with no issues until now. Same to have to switch now after all this time but I will.

Hi, @LadyStrider. Welcome to the community. You may find this article of interest: What should I know about moving Fitbit to my Google Account? - Fitbit Help Center. From experience with the Pixel Watch forum, I know that Google takes responsibility for isolating "Fitbit" data very seriously; it was a condition of their purchase.
I've been using my Google account to log in for some time and I've not experienced any problems.
