Touch screen not responding

Hi,

I'm having trouble with my fitbit inspire, it's reasonably new - I first used it a week ago...

The screen can turn on with the button but the touch screen is completely unresponsive - so you can't change to see steps/date/distance/HR or scroll on messages or close them. It starts working again if you reset it, but quickly stops again (within an hour) making it a reasonably inpractical solution! I've reset it 3 times.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I also got a replacement. Meanwhile, i bought a Charge 3 which was great, except it now doesn't work.

Can’t believe that Fitbit pieces have so much trouble! I’m glad that you
were able to get a replacement.
So far, I’ve found that I can put the Fitbit on the charger, then turn off
the Bluetooth on the computer to get the Fitbit started if it is just
black, or I can change the clock face via computer if the Fitbit freezes,
but has the clock showing. Other than that, I wouldn’t know what to do
except to try to get a replacement. (Not sure how to do that yet.)

When my Fitbit did that, I plugged in the Fitbit, then went to the
“Settings” on my I-Pad and turned off the Bluetooth. After a few seconds, I
turned it back on again. The Fitbit seemed to reboot.
Since that last update, quite a while ago, I’ve had no problem.
The Fitbit works with the computer, so try opening the Fitbit app.
Sometimes, by changing the clock face, it seems to make the Fitbit work
again. You can always put the clock face back the way you like it, later.

Thank you! I managed to change the face but still can’t swipe. I can tap though so it’s partially working.

In the end I simply contacted customer service and Sent through the process to receive a replacement. I would suggest you try that.

That solution is all well and good, unless you are away from your charger.  Not all Fitbit usage situations take place at home or where a charger is.  It is very frustrating when I wish to start recording an exercise that starts away from home, and it is unresponsive to touch.  This happens about once a month.

Or just return it for a refund. That's what I did 3 days after I bought mine. My last Fitbit was an earlier model that worked perfectly until the plastic pin holder on the body of the watch broke, and I can no longer attach the strap. I thought the Inspire 2 would be a good replacement. I don't want to fiddle around with it to get it to do what is supposed to do. Fitbit has taken a step backward with this poor product.
