Unable to complete Inspire HR setup

I have an iPhone 8 and bought a new Fitbit Inspire HR.

unfortunately I have been having continuous issues with the setup of the device.

i have followed all advice including restart of the device, my phone and reinstalled the app. I have also attempted setup via my laptop and iPad with no success.

The update reaches 38% and after this point fails. This has now happened well over 10 times.

Any advice or help would be appreciated. Starting to think the device is faulty.

I will assist you with setting up your Inspire HR device and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. If the update gets stuck then please force close the app then reopen in and retry the setup process. If the issue persist then clear the bluetooth connections on your phone by removing all devices listed in the bluetooth settings area, log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. Also try the update via only wifi (turn off mobile data) or vice versa using only mobile data and disabling wifi. You can find additional suggestions here.

I have same issue. Using iPhone 8 and new Inspire HR won’t connect to Bluetooth. Tried rebooting phone, deleting old Alta, deleting app, reinstalling app, rebooting phone....nada. This is driving me and my hubby insane!
