I have a Charge 2 and and Inspire...both quit charging just out of warranty...is this something I'm doing wrong (I really dislike the caring set up on the inspire) or is it planned obsolescenc?

Hi @WyzWmn  your posts were merged as it's easier to reply in one thread and not two, plus cross-posting is discouraged. Have you tried doing a restart of both devices and checked the charging pins and connected usb ports?

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

I've always only used the charger that came with either Fitbit...is there a post somewhere that discusses how to check the charging pins?  I'm not sure I understand how to do that...the charger seems fine but I don't know....and how do you restart it it won't turn on?

@WyzWmn  you can use a soft toothbrush to rub across the underside of your Fitbit to dislodge any dust that may have gotten into it. I have one usb port which doesn't work very well on my computer, so I make sure to use the one that works. Sometimes the charger or the Fitbit may just be at the end of life.

I did as suggested and softly brushed both the charger and the ports on both the inspire and the charge 2...the inspire is still dead but the charge 2 has taken a charge...the lights are on in the back! However, there is no display.  I tried plugging it in and holding the button down for a few seconds (as I read elsewhere in this community)  to restart it...it will vibrate a bit but still no display.

any other suggestions?

also...I thought I'd mention that both of them have never held a charge over 24 hrs...even when brand new...I've always only charged them via computer USB ports with the cables that came with them
