My Versa's battery recently began dying after a little over a day. Previously the battery would last for several days. When it dies completely, I have to manually re-sync it. What is causing this and can it be fixed?
There are two things I can think of:
One. The battery has a finite lifespan. The more you charge it, the shorter the life. It got to the point where I had to recharge every night. Unfortunately my Versa finally died after a little over a year.
Two. I work in a warehouse environment, and my Versa was subjected to all sorts of abuse. I bought a Supcase Bettle Pro to better protect it, but sadly the damage had already been done. The water resistance integrity had already been compromised because of the cracked screen. This damage, on top of the shortened battery lifespan, killed my Versa.
Fortunately for me I still have my old Alta, which will hold me over until I can purchase the Lite version.
ALWAYS keep your older Fitbits as back-ups!
Thank you for the detailed reply. It’s definitely not the latter, so it must be that the battery is old and worn out, since I’ve had this Versa for more than two years. It’s just odd that this all came on very suddenly. Also odd that it would charge from 0 to 100% in 10 minutes, and then five minutes later be down to 40%. I thought worn out batteries would just not hold a charge at all. anyway, thanks again for the reply.
I can get it turned back on by doing a soft reboot. But that’s the only way I can get it to turn on. It can’t be a bad battery if so many people are experiencing the same issue!
