Bitmoji watch face draining battery

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Usually I would get a full 3-4 days off a 100% battery with notifications and HR on. Since installing the bitmoji watchface its gone from 100% to 77% in 4 hours. Yesterday it was drained by the end of the day.

Furthermore, when it syncs with the app the watch says 77% but the app says battery full.

Anyone else having these issues?

Hi @RedHeadedMomma, it's good to see you in the community.

Regarding the bitmoji face, I can't really comment on as I've not personally used it. Although reports from people I know that have used it have been pretty positive. I would suggest giving your Versa a restart by following the steps here.

As for the app reporting the battery as full is normal behaviour. The only readings the app can report for the battery are Full, Medium and Low. I'm not sure what the exact thresholds are, but it would seem your Versa's battery hasn't dropped below the percentage to trigger the medium reading.

I’m not sure if mine is dead or just won’t turn on. Ever since I downloaded the bitmoji watch face, my watch hasn’t been working! I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem?

@Shastillo I would suggest connecting your device to it's charger first to see if that brings it alive. If not, give the restart procedure I posted in the previous post a try.

@RedHeadedMomma A watch face that is constantly changing different "scenes" based on your movements and possibly heart rate is definitely going to have a larger drain on your battery versus a regular, plain clock face.  I think that is important to keep in mind.

I have the Bitmoji face and it does seem to drain the battery a bit faster than usual, but I fully expected that to be the case.

I normally charge my device for about 10-15 minutes daily while I shower so it always remains around 60% battery. The first few days I used the Bitmoji clock face, I had no battery challenges. It has been about 5 days now. Yesterday I noticed that the battery was at 20% around 7pm so I charged it back to 65%. Around 11, it was at 55% and this morning when I awoke, it was completely drained. I knew it would use battery faster, but didn’t think I would need to charge it several times daily. It was cute while it lasted, but I am switching back to a regular clock face. My sleep was not accurately tracked last night and since I was charging it this morning, I missed my first 1k steps

Yes mine is exactly the same with the Bitmoji app! I barely get 24 hours out of the battery now but I used to get 4 days. I love the Bitmoji face though so I might keep it and just charge daily until I get bored of it.... my partner has to do that with the Apple Watch anyway!

That exact thing happened to me too. My battery was drained this morning when it was at 60 earlier in the day. I had also given it a full charge that morning. I rebooted and charged my Versa this morning to full but it’s now at just 88.

I downloaded Bitmoji and a week later my watch died. I only had it 4 months😣

This is good to know but have you tried using any of the pandora or deezer apps yet? I bet that would drain it more than the bitmoji would. I love having to only charge every 4 days yet I want to try the music. The struggle is real lol.

No I haven't. I did download music to my watch and it did shorten my battery life a bit.

Why would I want to drain it more?

I have not tried any music apps. If they added SiriusXM, I’d definitely try it even if it drained the battery.

I had the same issue, it didn't start right away but the past few days my fitbit was getting less than a day of battery life and I was constantly charging it. I changed to a different clockface and my battery life is back to normal.

My battery has actually improved a lot since I replied to this. I can have a few days again now even with the Bitmoji face. Maybe there has been an update somewhere?

Hello guys! I would like to begin apologizing for my delayed reply and giving a warm welcome to our Community to you @Shastillo @TheresaNicole @Dee504 @AliciaLf @RileyW and @boogc72. Also, I'm happy to see you again participating in our forums @RedHeadedMomma  @sonocaz @kittenlebon @N8teGee and @Heather-S.

Let me share that our Fitbit Versa device was designed to last 5 days, but the battery life also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. I’ll recommend charging your Versa with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall, then turn off all the features that you don’t use and check this help article for more tips and recommendations. Also, please use a clockface developed by Fitbit and let me know if the draining difficulties persist.

Same as @N8teGee suggested, please try restarting your device to refresh it’s performance after taking in consideration the steps above.

@Shastillo I was notified by our Support team that they provided you with assistance regarding your concern. I recommend you to contact them directly if you have any additional questions about the assistance that was provided. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Same for you @Dee504, Support team informed me that they assisted you too.

@TheresaNicole Please check at the information above and let me know how your Versa battery life behaves. I'd like to gather more information about the sleep information that was not tracked accurately, that said, can you please provide me with more details about this and if this was experienced again?

@sonocaz Thanks for your update and letting me know that your battery life if improving. Please take in consideration the above information and keep me posted. At this moment I'm unsure if there was an update for the Bitmoji clockface because this clockface is not developed by Fitbit, however, you can contact the Bitmoji clockface developer for more information and details.

@N8teGee @Heather-S It's always nice to see you helping other users, your willingness to help is very much appreciated.

Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have, I'll be around if you need anything else.

Rebooting my Versa fixed the battery drain issue.  I now get 4 days per charge.
