You proabably have an incompatible device. I recently discovered that my LG V35 is not a compatible device hence i shall ALWAYS have syncing issue. At least with samsung it looks like comaptability may become a reality as S9 is listed as a ok device. So u may only have to wait for an update.

If so at what step of the setup process does the failure occur. Do you get any wore messages and what would they be?
