Every clock face I select says "cannot install on your device"....tried all of them

@Anun71 This suggest the connection issue. Does you Versa sync without problems? What's you phone model and OS. For now let's try restoring the connection and then you can try installing the clockface:
The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.
