Connecting to Spotify with Versa lite

I have the Fitbit versa lite and using a OnePlus 6T phone and when I click on the Spotify app it says to make sure phones WiFi is on and sync on the app and both of them are on do I have to be on the app at all times for the phone to be synchronised

@RyanWilson Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa lite controlling Spotify. You will need to basically have open the Spotify and Fitbit apps on your phone  so your Versa lite can control music for it. You can check the instructions here.
