After installing the latest update on my Versa I have issues with the screen locking up, won't power off, when I try to turn back on it won't turn on by the usual left button I have to push the left and the right bottom one to make it come on. Then once it's on it's stuck on the day before and the battery is almost dead. I'm using my Samsung Galaxy 9 to run my app. Please help!

Hi @Tdcline, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to follow the next steps to factory reset your Versa:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
Keep me posted.

I've already done a reset and it did not help the issues at all.

Please review the posts under the original thread regarding when this firmware update was announced and pushed.
There are several users who have reported and are still reporting the issues you are having with your Versa not just on this post but individual posts like yours.
Per the moderators in that thread, they have taken the issues reported back to the support team and developers. 30 days later is way too long for this to continue to happen with no fix in site.
Users have already given up and gone to Fitbit's competitors. I can't say I blame them. I opted out of doing the update after reading all the issues with this firmware. After the October firmware fiasco which also had major issues, I review the posts regarding not just the firmware updates but the mobile app as well since Fitbit has a major app bugs with all of the 3.xx versions.

No enhancements are worth taking a perfectly functional device and having to deal with it becoming bricked, non-responsive, dealing with battery drains, etc.

I am also having the same problem with my battery. I cannot get a full day now after doing the update. I use to get up to 4 days. I loved it as other smartwatches only got 2 days. I am thinking of trying another smartwatch (Brand). This is not looking good for FitBit.

Ricardo,
I am sorry but this does not work. After this latest Update my versa holds charge for 4hrs. No problem before the update, I was getting 4days. You are going to have to go back to the team and find another solutions. Test, Test and Test again.

I too have this problem. Performed a factory reset 3 different times to prove the problem is the update. Fitbit support bailed and told me sorry I was out of the warranty. Fitbit support was technically useless. I solved the problem for me by doing a factory reset and not taking the last update. Looks like Fitbit sold us to Google and Google doesn't care. It's time to post this on public forums and let everyone know Fitbit took a dump on their customers. Guess it's time to take my money someplace else.

I push all three buttons and no logo comes up. I held all three for over a minute with no results. My fitbit will not turn on at all. The only time it come on is in the charger. I take it off the charger and I get a red battery that says 0% even though on the charger it says its charged at 100%. I had issues the last time an update was done keeping my fitbit connected to the phone and now this problem where the phone will not even turn on. What is going on?

The same thing happened to me. Did the update Sunday night. It died a couple hours after I went to sleep after the update was complete. Now, it only works in the charger. Immediately dies after it is removed. I have seen others report this on the Reddit Fitbit threads, too.

I'm wondering if Fitbit even knows what's going on here on the community boards. It's looking like we try to help each other then occasionally someone from support jumps in to tell us what we can or can not say or worse provide us the repetitious steps to reboot a few times. I guess they hope we'll just go away. Oh I could get yelled at for this post as it would be deemed unproductive. Truth be told I've done a considerable amount of testing and have drawn the conclusion that they must fix the firmware they messed up in December 2019. Since I don't code Fitbit programmers would need to fix it.

After another firmware update, the issue still persists. My workaround is to never turn the watch off.

I'm glad you found that solution too. I posted that several months ago. I let it go to about 20-30% then throw it on the charger.

My Versa will not respond after the update....It just cycles through multiple language messages that say to install the FitBit app and follow the setup. I'd love to do this "If the Bluetooth would would connect" ! Super frustrating to spend $300 on a watch that only lasts 11 months and is destroyed by the manufacture's updated software.... Where's the support? Oh, "Due to covid" we don't offer support any long.

Having the same issue and thought I was going crazy! Now after the factory reset, I just have a black screen, can't get anything to come on. Convenient that this happens as the new Versa model is on the market. Who would waste their money on that when FitBit can cease the functionality with one update? So frustrating!

Having the same issues with mine just after updating the firmware. Tech support won't listen to you are telling them.
My Veras now won't, keep time unless its synched. Won't turn on unless I use the back and bottom right button. Won't come on when I put it on the charger, and the battery will drain when it's turned off. I charged it last night to 100% and now today, it's down to only 28%
And this all started happening after the firmware update, but they won't listen or don't understand.
