Distance / speed tracking is incorrect and variable

I am running my weekly 12km round for years now. My old fitbit charge 2 in combination with my Samsung S5 mini always indicated a distance of more or less 12km. Sometimes it was 11.94km, other times 12.05km, but the variation never was significant.

Recently I switched to the fitbit Versa and a few months later to the Samsung A40 phone. Since this new combination, I am having problems with the distance and speed measurements. I always use GPS and start/end the training manually. The start and end point are correct on the map, as is the route. There are no wrong measurements (like detours I did not make, or shortcuts) visible. Still the distances vary greatly. Via the following links, you can see the maps of my last two trainings. The start/end and route are exactly the same, though the distance and thus speed is completely different.

The reason for sticking to fitbit for the smartwatch is the sport tracking, so I really would like to it to function properly.

I'm also having the same issues with my versa (paired with my ASUS Zenfone 3).

I have walked the same two routes for ages now (both 3km) and for the past month or so the distances are incorrect. The start & end points are correct and there are no deviations on the map. I have tried just using my phone to track the walk, starting the walk from my watch, using the auto recognised exercise function and all track different distances.

I have used a different app to track my walk & the distance is correct (3km). Please help.

I experience the same for my Versa and Samsung Note 8. For a run of 6.5 km it is only showing 4.4 km, even though the start and end points as well as the route look OK. I've been running this route for ages, and it's been off since around October so not it impacts all my stats! It's very annoying that it looks like I've been going backwards in fitness! Fitbit should have done something about this by now!
