Hello everyone,
I had previously posted a problem I was facing with not being able to read my text messages on my Versa device, with the exception of WhatsApp, IG, etc. I would only get the "message" notification, but was not able to read the regular text message itself. For those Android users follow the steps below so that you can read your messages.
1. Open your messages app on your phone
2. Go to settings
3. Notifications
4. Scroll down to more settings in app
5. Turn on Preview Message
That should fix the problem.

Best AnswerDoes any one else think this is ridiculous? These threads should be telling Fitbit "EPIC FAIL" in their Versa product. I have android Samsung S8 and a Versa, followed all the instructions to a T, nothing works. Called Fitbit, they gave up, clearly Versa is a flawed product, first one I got I took back and exchanged for another, same results. Its very sad that I had to waste so much time on that Versa, returned 2nd Versa, going out tomorrow to get a Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch , I hear its install, synch, setup is flawless and works out of the box. Too bad Fitbit can't be the same because I really liked the looks and had super high hopes to be crushed by inferior product and lies about what it does.
Best AnswerI have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and all of my devices have the current updates. I've tried all of the suggestions, including deleting my Versa 2, deleting my Fitbit app, removing it from my Bluetooth list restarting my phone and starting over as if I am just adding my 1st Fitbit.
So far, nothing has worked and I am about ready to return it. Help please.
Best AnswerVersa 2 eh, well that's disappointing I was hopeful that someone bought the Versa 2 and would tell me it worked no problem but from what you wrote, seems Fitbit didn't do crap to fix their Versa product for Android users.
Okay let me fast forward you, give up and return it, buy the Samsung smartwatch and it will do everything you want and more. I got the Galaxy Frontier which is quite the masculine look but if you don't mind that, get it. Samsung does also make smaller face Smartwatches and comes with the features you will be looking for.
Don't waste another second on Fitbit, get the Samsung Smartwatch, you will love it!!!
