I've had my Versa for a few days now and love it, I wanted to try Fitbit pay but can't even get it working.
I tapped the wallet icon in the app for the first time, it says "checking for pin" and then just brings up an error message: "Error registering Versa with Fitbit wallet".
My phone is the Note 9 - set up with biometric passwords and alphanumerical password.
My Versa is the UK version and on the back does say "FITBIT PAY". I have never registered a PIN with the device before. When I try setting up the device lock in-app, it says "checking for pin" and then "error registering with Fitbit wallet".
When I enter the wallet app in the Versa, it says to hold down the left button to make a payment. Shouldn't it say, "no card registered" or something?

Hey all, I got it working on my device ^^
I factory reset my Versa and the first thing I did when I got into the phone app interface - I went to device and "Device Lock" and it worked. So, I added my pin and FINALLY I can add a bank card.
I suggest factory resetting your Versa and performing all the typical setup procedures and before you do anything else, add a pin first!
Good luck ❤️

I am having the same exact problem.

I'm also having the same problem, one of the main reasons I bought the Versa was to use contactless payments, not sure how to sort it !!

I am having the exact same issue. So annoying. Mine also says Fitbit Pay on the back. Same error message. I reset the watch, upgraded my os on my phone, reset my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, still exactly the same issue. Also get the same error messages when I go the Device Lock option. So annoying

Hi, paying with Fitbit Wallet is not supported in every country and every bank, that's the main problem. It's not your problem, it's Fitbit's one. My bank tells me that it supports Wallet, but whenever I try to add a card to the Wallet, Fitbit tells me that my bank is not yet supported. Hope this helps.

I live in Australia and my bank does support it. But still no luck setting it up.

Hi, unfortunately the fact that your bank supports it, it does not mean that Fitbit supports it too as of yet. I have the same problem.

Ugh. So, I tried using a different phone (unliked Versa with Note 9 and used an unsupported device) still same issue. It seemed to be doing the processing things on the unsupported device like checking for wallet and securing wallet etc whatever the message promts were but still same error message. I went back to the Note 9 and did a simple log off/on after pairing my Versa again.
The promising messages of securing wallet etc appeared but still failed. Ugh.
Can a Fitbir representative confrim? Does the phone app communicate with the Versa to initiates the wallet account? I feel the Versa is causing the fail issues not the cellphones/app.
I might try a factory reset and hell even a new account but I feel this isn't gonna work.
Also can some of you guys confrim? When you open your wallet app on your Versa, does it sa "hold down anywhere blah blah"? I feel it should say no cards have veen registered.

Don't do a Factory reset, it's not your problem. It lies on the site of Fitbit itself.

Very well. I shall try this as soon as I can. Will report back.

Could you explain to me what you mean by: " I shall try this as soon as I can"? Is that the Factory reset or retrying to add your card to the wallet, In the last case, forget that for a while, cause Fitbit Wallet is not working everywhere and you will just have to patient to whenever Fitbit supports it in your country.

Wether my bank supports it or not isn't the issue I am having. It won't even allow me to go as far as entering in any card details. When I click on Wallet is says "checking for PIN" it then comes up with the error. I have never got any further than this. Thanks for your help but we seem to be talking about different things.

Nope we do not. It's Fitbit that is the problem as it does not support your bank as of yet, although your banks supports it.

Hey, yes I get the same when I open the wallet on the versa itself. Then when I press the bottom on the left it just brings up notification settings and music, doesn't even mention banking or payments.
But how on earth would the Fitbit know who I bank with in order to know they don't support it? You're not making may sense.

If you do not believe me, type in the search bar of the Versa community board your question and you will see a lot of answers i gave you. I do usually not use nonsense when answering a question.

Please do not do a Factory Reset because of this problem which is not yours but Fitbit's one!!!

Ah right. Maybe I'm over thinking it on this part. It's just that I swear I saw a Screenshot on another thread where the interface on the wallet app (on the versa) said "no cards added". It could of been on an older firmware tho. But it does make my kind think if the Versa firmware was installed properly or something like that.

Yeah. I think there is some misscommunication but most seem to be on the right page @Shellspurls
What I'm gonna do is take the librity of factory reseting my Versa and reinstalling the latest firmware and see where that takes me.
If that doesnt work I'll repeat the process but with a new fit bit account :s
And if that doesn't work - I'm gonna take my sisters iphone and see if that works.
BTW what devices are you guys using. My friend who has an iPhone 5s works for him and boy does the app work better on Ios.
