Fitbit Update 8/23/18:
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.
Since the majority of Versa users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.32.10.15) I have decided to close this topic from further comments.
If you still have not updated your Versa to OS 2.1.1, check out this help article for how to update your device. Please complete this update so that you're prepared for the next release.
If you are experiencing an issue with your Versa unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the Community or find a related topic.
Thanks for all your feedback and contributions on this thread. We're looking forward to bringing you all the next Fitbit OS update!
Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
WHAT’S FIXED
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.
I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I updated yesterday, after 5+ hours of trying and eventually forcing the update.
However, I still don't see the option to reply...just 'mark as read' or 'clear'. In the app I can see the default quick replies and everything seems to work. How can I fix this?

Now this is interesting. I got an update notice, started it, but did not watch it work. When I went back the versa was working properly. I checked the version. It is the one ending in 15. But, unless I am mistaken, other users are talking about a version ending in 20. I’m rather confused. Can anyone clarify?

I think the people who do the factory reset get a 20 version and the people who let the update process work get a 15 version. Nobody knows why.

Thank you! I would never have figured that out.

Which messaging app are you using?

I did a factory reset and got 15. But I got the update notice first. I'm thinking it might be an android/ apple thing. I'm on android.

Maybe the difference between regular and special edition Versa? Maybe the difference between Android and iOS versions? Would be nice if the release notes had some more specific detail.

I'm. On Android and have the special edition with the pay on it. My update was 15. I tried a factory reset and still have 15.

Like I said, maybe the version of Android is the difference. I have the regular edition but Android 8.1 and I have the .20 firmware.

Android 8.1/ 15 update. I just want an update that saves exercise custom stats. I REALLY don't think that's too much to ask for!

Maybe it's a gender thing, because of the "female health" tracking. Woman here. 15 version.

05-13-2018 07:52
Maybe, but from a development standpoint that wouldn't be efficient, rather they would most likely package all the features into the same build and just show or hide based on a flag, like gender in this case.
My next guess was regional, but I'm assuming most of us are in the US.
@AlessFitbit help us out here, please.

I rang the helpline as was having problems with the floors and active minutes registering! They suggest a reset (holding left and bottom right button for 10 seconds) or unpairing device and setting up again! Mine seems 2 be better now!

I have the Ionic the same thing between .15 and .20 happened on that device to. I think the people that got .20 are the ones that did a factory reset before they got the update flag in their app. A moderator in the Ionic forum had made a statement that the .20 was for new customers to give them fitbits newest software experience.
@Scarab @nasder @MattJ71 @JamesIonic @0hwell @Mark2018 Sorry for any confusion in regard to the release version number. We wanted to give our newest customers our most updated software experience. Existing customers, stay tuned for more updates.
