Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).

Hi, everyone! Smiley Happy

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)

We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

WHAT’S NEW

Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?

WHAT’S FIXED

This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.

Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.

I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article

If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips

Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Are you saying message + doesn't work with the versa? Mine worked until the update and now the message disappears as soon as comes across my versa and unless I see it my versa acts like there is nothing new so I'd never know there was a message. It was a trade off I guess since before the update I didn't get notified of phone calls. Wish they would fix things.

@Tats01 Big bummer....nope my didn’t upgrade to 8.0. After a system update I was still left with the 7.0 version so I’m super bummed. I thought they started to roll out the 8.0 version for the s7 and s7 edge. Darn, I’ll be in the same boat as you I guess until we get the 8.0 version.

I got the notification in my fitbit app that said I had an update waiting. So I downloaded it. I did not do anything special. It's the 32.32.10.15 update for the versa. It's great that I can see incoming phone calls but it basically broke my text message alerts as they disappear like disappearing ink.

Funny observation I just made: I can even control Spotify Playback now from my wrist using the quick reply options it shows. I mean it's not really useful or anything, just thought it was funny the watch sees this as 'quick reply' options.

Thank you @razerf15.

I finally got it using the bluetooth.

I have no 2.4Ghz Wifi connection. I think that's why it took so long and it ended up not working...

I do get some amusement of people screaming about returning their versa.  Then by magically following the directions things fall into place and work.  I have been there too.

Has anybody noticed changes in battery usage with the update?   I was getting right at 4 days before the update.  And now closer to 5-1/2 days.  I do not have notifications on. I don’t see the point with my phone in my pocket.

I watched the You Tube commercial and my sorry but it does not mention IOS or Android. I was not expecting to send replies to texts.

Try changing your messaging app to whatsapp and selecting your messaging app within app notifications. That's how I've got it setup, and it works without issues.

Thanks!  I loved seeing that I had an update for by Versa today.  I like the update to the notifications view Especially that the text messaging is now whit text on a black background.  I do wish there was an option to increase the text size to make the versa more accessible.  Keep up the great work on Fitbit!  I love mine.

Are you using message+ I updated my versa this morning on my LGV20 and I can't receive messages

I am using message + with a note 8. My messages disappear if i am not looking st my watch when they come in. Its like they were written in disappearing ink. I have sent myself messages and stare at my watch, see them pop up with the message but then they go away and its as if they never existed.

@meresydotes @st3phan3y I completely understand the issue and am confirming with this release your customized stats should save. If this is not the case, please kindly report back to me and let me know. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your cooperation.

I updated today and my Customized Stats do not save.  Also, pushing the left button brings up my VISA card and nothing more.  Am I missing something?

When you hold the left button, you can swipe your screen right to music playback; swipe left to see settings for screen wake auto/manual and notifications on/off.

I'm Pixel 2 as well.  It's done the same thing, just sitting there.  Did you get it to work?

Hi, @ErickFitbit

I updated my phone today and then went for a run. Previously, when I clicked on "exercise" on my watch, and chose "run", it would take about 30 secs to connect to GPS. Today, it stayed "connecting" for my whole run. When I got home, I tried restarting my phone, restarting the watch, turning bluetooth on and off, and restarting the fitbit app. It still refuses to connect to GPS.

It has no problem syncing, and it's tracking my heart rate, etc. On the phone, it even shows the GPS position in the fitbit app, so I'm assuming that is working. Everything is working as usual, except that the watch won't connect to the phone's GPS anymore.
