Fitbit Versa 2 tracking steps while driving

Is there any apps to pause activity tracking while driving? The only thing I could find online was the drivebit app that no longer exists. This morning it counted about 50 steps on my 15 min drive to work. if you include all of my daily driving, that is a big over count. I would think for spending $200 on a fitness tracker, this issue would be figured out by now...

@Crookskates A warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you with your Versa 2 tracking steps while driving. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps.  You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement. Also while driving try to make sure that the Versa 2 is tightly secured around your wrist (as long as it is comfortable don't over tight it) so it isn't bouncing.

Let me know how it goes.

I just started wearing my Versa 2. I drive a lot for work and my Versa is counting about 250 steps for every 12 miles or so of driving. I'm thinking this is just a waste of money.

I find no driving activity in the help sheet that you reference.  Is there a better step by step direction for a driving activity so my Fitbit does not count steps.  I am synced with an Android phone

@Ialexiou It's great to have you here!

Let me help you logging a driving activity. On the Fitbit app tap the Track your exercise tile then tap the stopwatch icon on the top right corner, there you need to tap Log Previous where you can enter Driving, enter the time and save.

Let me know how it goes.
