Hi ya

I've done a Zumba class and after I noticed the screen has come unsealed so it's half hanging off. It won't go back on, also this means it's no longer waterproof. The screen says clock error go to fitbit.com. I'm so disappointed! I bought it through Fitbit app. Please help!? Thanks

You will need to contact customer support to discuss what warranty options may be available for you.

So I'm having the same issue and I'm told its not warranty and I'm pretty much out $300.  Not happy with this.

Hey @Hergt, welcome aboard! Oh! I'm sorry to hear that the response from our Support team, didn't meet your expectations. I totally understand how you feel about this. There are several factors that could affect the warranty of your product, and therefore, your options. I'd like you to review the Fitbit warranty in this link and let me know if you have further questions.

Happened for me too.

I barely do anything with my Versa other than walk to and from work at a desk job, and this happened within a small window (purchased April 20th 2018, screen popped May 31st 2019) of its warranty expiring.

The summary of the chat with their support was pretty much:

"...is it under warranty? No? Here's a 40% off coupon."

Not "how did this happen" or "why did this happen" or "we're aware this is happening with other customers" or any curiosity about the design flaw of their product.

Had they made any attempt to acknowledge that this is a known problem before offering the exact same coupon, I'd maybe be a little less irritated about it. I will not recommend anyone else get a Versa-- at least not without a 2 year warranty.

P.S. This was the Versa SE, so the model quality/version makes no difference.

This happened to me too, screen just popped off all of a sudden. I checked their Facebook page, and it seems to be affecting quite a few people.

they said to me immediately as well that it’s not under warranty, and hey, awesome news: they offered to me to buy a new one for 25% off... 😂 as if I want to spend even more money on their faulty product. 😂

I pushed back and turns out it is under warranty. I got a replacement - which was already malfunctioning when it arrived. Fun times. 🙄

It just happened to me, too. Suddenly, and not while I was doing anything active. 5 days past the 1-year warranty.

Maybe I was lucky to get a friendly & reasonable agent when I called, but he agreed to replace it. It may have helped that I had found this forum and made it clear to him that I knew this was A Thing That Happens and pretty clearly a manufacturing problem... It didn’t hurt, anyway.

Exact same thing happened to me, except I was in the water, so my versa is totally fried.

I'm past the one year date with mine, and was offered a paltry 25% discount towards another purchase.

When Microsoft had issues with the Band 1&2 they acknowledged the issues and stood behind them.

And you know what, I'd buy another Microsoft Band in a heartbeat. But after this customer service experience.... I won't be buying another Fitbit.

Oh nooo what a disaster!!This has happened 3 x now to me but luckily with warranty but it's definately a manufacturers fault. The glue used to seal the watch face is substandard and not up to the job. This fault must happen to a huge percentage of their versa watches! I'm very suprised this issue hasn't been resolved and an improvement made!I will not be buying another fitbit again as their products are cheaply made and do not last!Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Yeah per Wirecutter magazine's recommendation I've already moved over to Garmin and am much happier. Fitbit has a reputation for not caring about this kind of stuff. File it away under planned obsolescence.

I  experienced the same problem a week ago and still no solution from the Versa support tem. I am so disappointed. Anyone who got a solution to this problem?

Yup i bought the special edition Versa and i've had the watch for one year. The cover just came right off. I rather spend my $230 on a real watch instead of a garbage watch. Not worth buy from fitbit anymore. A lot of people having issue with them and their product is not worth it.

yup agree, Just spend $200 for a watch that will only work for 1 year. Same issue here, i work for a company that sells them and I will let customers know about this!!!. Its a waste of money!!

I'm just here to bump this and i also got a survey about this. You better believe I gave this company a "0" for their product. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THEM!!!!
