I have a Fitbit Versa that has worked great until yesterday. I updated my iPhone 8plus with the new IOS 13.1.1 software update. After this installation, my Fitbit has only been getting notifications from email, snapchat, calls etc. and not one text message will come through. I realize this update is probably the source of my text notification issue but was wondering if anyone has found a solution? It is driving me nuts.
I have restarted my watch, my phone, unpaired and re-paired the watch to bluetooth, deleted the fit bit app restarted my phone and re-downloaded the app to pair with the device, none of which has worked. I have also checked notifications settings for messages on both my iPhone and within the Fitbit notifications on the app, both are clicked on to allow notifications. When I have toggled on and off these last two settings in the past, I have selected allow notifications between my phone and watch multiple times. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Very frustrating!

@Superauntt I'm pretty much convinced that getting an iWatch is the only solution to this long-standing problem. I did, suddenly, start getting text messages again, but not all. One day I got two, though they didn't stay in history so I couldn't read them later. The next day I got a few more, the following day they all seemed to be coming across. They seem to be staying in history now, as well. I'm still not happy that ALL my text messages show the entire convo on my phone face - awkward at work so I have to mostly hide my phone (which is ridiculous).

My versa is the first issue upgraded version and has this problem; my daughter has the first issue without the upgrade and has never had the problem. It would be nice if Fitbit and Apple could get together and solve this problem.
Yes they have! Unfortunately the messages are showing up on my closed phone which I really don’t like.

I have done everything fitbit has recommended. I've turned it off countless times. Deleted the app and reinstalled. Disconnected from my bluetooth. Everything and still nothing has worked. It's extremely irritating. I now just have an expensive electronic watch that does not do what I paid for and fitbit doesn't even seem to care. I will be buying an apple watch and throwing away my fitbit and will NEVER buy from this company again. This company really doesn't seem to care that thousands of people are still having this problem and have practically wasted their money.

I also don’t like previews but I did it anyway since you and a few others had success, still nothing. 😓😫

Hi all, I’ve found that on the Fitbit app > notifications > app notifications, these 2 need to be on. It’s worked for me, I now receive notifications again!

I don't have anything in my notifications about whatapp or Apple, I'm not receiving any text messages, I have show notifications open on my whatsapp application on my iPhone, but I can't find whatsapp on my Fitbit application

Are you on notifications in the Fitbit app? If you tap your photo in the top left hand corner of the dashboard In the Fitbit app on your phone > account > versa > notifications > app notifications you can chose which of the notifications you receive on the phone will get sent to your watch.

I have got texts coming through now, I went into the fit bit app and clicked on my pic, I then clicked on my phone and that opened up another page which had notifications and then I opened up what's app,

I agree, this is ridiculous. They still have not fixed it other than allowing my phone to preview my messages - which I do not like nor wish to do. This has been months and Fitbit and Apple have yet to resolve it. I had purchased the Versa 2 for my husband and his texts work - which really pisses me off. I’m not upgrading my perfectly
fine watch because they don’t want to give us a fix. They need to fix or replace. Fitbit marked this thread as “Answered” which is why I’m sure they are not replying to this thread any longer.

I restored my Fitbit reset everything deleted everything and started from scratch. Then comparing with a co-worker I noticed when I scroll through the settings on the Fitbit there isn’t even anything showing how I get my notifications. Help how did this get deleted and how do I get it back on???

This did fix the issue I was having with not receiving text messages on my Versa. However, I am extremely unhappy about the new requirement of having to have the text previews show up on my phone (privacy concerns).
