Fitbit app food search doesn't work

I'm trying to enter food in the log. I click the magnifying glass, and type the food. Nothing happens after that. No foods come up in the list, so I can only log foods on my Frequent, Recent, or Custom. I've restarted my phone & the Versa 2, cleared the cache in the app, uninstalled & reinstalled the app. Nothing has fixed this.

I'm glad to inform you that this issue has already been official fixed.

If you're still encountering being unable to log food you can restart your phone and everything should be working correctly.

I am having the same issue on the Fitbit app.  Very frustrating.

I don't see an answer to this issue! Please tell me how to log my food since there appears to be a problem for us all.
