GPS tracking not working in fitbit versa lite

I have a versa lite and a OnePlus 6t with the latest software. 

Whenever I want to start an exercise activity, I open the biking exercise screen on the versa. It says connecting and then it connects. 

However, as soon as I lock the screen on my phone, it disconnects from the versa and stops recording my exercise. If I open the versa, it shows connecting with no end.  If I open up my cell phone, the versa will connect to it .. And the process repeats itself over and over. I can't figure out why it's doing this.

Fitbit app is running in the background and the versa lite is connected via Bluetooth as well.

But this happens all the time. I am not able to record any of my excercise.

Hello @Jhelam let's open your phones settings. 

Not sure which android version but the last few will be these steps. 

Tap on Apps

Tap Fitbit

Tap Battery

Disable battery management. You may be able to re-enable after the next step. Battery management might put the app to sleep when app is in background or phone is locked. 

Now allow app to run in background. If this is not enabled the app will not run in background.

The app is already working in the background. Battery optimisation has been
disabled and I am still facing the same problem.

I am using Android version 9 And CPU is Snapdragon 845.

What happens when you move the app to the background then try to connect the GPS

Still facing the same issue it does not connect while app is running in the background.

Then for some reason Fitbit notification services are getting shut down when the screen turns off. 

After GPS connects can you then move the app to the background before the screen turns off.

I have tried the same but it is still not working.
I get the other notifications like calls and messages but the GPS doesn't
connect once the screen is off.
