I have a Fitbit Versa 3, I bought less than 3 months ago. My heart rate variability (HRV) is always below 18. As per google forums, HRV below 50ms, is unhealthy.
Is HRV on fitbit reliable? Looks like lot of people have low HRV on fitbit. Should I just ignore?
Hello Fitbit manufacturer, if the HRV is not reliable, I suggest to take it out, rather than misguiding and scaring the use community.

Hi, @CharlesReddy , my understanding is that HRV is individual - the important thing is that your HRV stays in YOUR range. That’s why Fitbit takes a few days of wearing before you get this info - it needs to establish your baseline. Once baseline is established what is important is not the ABSOLUTE number, but a CHANGE in this number. That’s also why Fitbit app gives you your range and a graph of each night’s readings. A change that shows variability significantly higher or lower than your usual range could indicate a change in health or readiness to exercise.
You can read more about it in this article which I think explains it well.
I hope that reassures you. Welcome to the forums!

Given the Versa 3 is incapable of accuratrely and consistently measuring HR I have serious doubts about these numbers also.
