I've now used my Versa special edition on 10 separate occasions to track my kayaking sessions and on each session my heart rate has been off by, on average, 30bpm compared to a Polar chest heart rate monitor.
I've tried tightening the strap, moving it further up my arm, changing bands and swapping arms but it's still miles off.
Either the tech is completely flawed or my Versa is faulty. How would I go about getting one that works?

Hi @jameslongley, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding the heart rate accuracy of your special edition Fitbit Versa compared to the Polar chest heart rate monitor during your kayaking sessions. Our heart-rate tracking technology, known as PurePulse, is specially designed to give you a more complete picture of your health and fitness. As with all heart-rate tracking technology, whether a chest strap or a wrist-based sensor, accuracy is affected by personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement. I appreciate your efforts to improve the accuracy of your heart rate reading: How do I improve the accuracy of my heart-rate reading?
With regard to accuracy, Fitbit has developed leading hardware and algorithms to track fitness information and is constantly improving its products to calculate measurements as accurately as possible. The accuracy of Fitbit devices is not intended to match medical devices or scientific measurement devices, but is intended to give you the best information available in a wearable activity tracker.
If you haven't done so, I'd like you to restart your device as described in this help article. This will refresh your Versa internally.
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
