How can I replace my Versa screen?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve got my Versa less than 3 weeks ago. It’s working fine but the screen is broken 2 days ago by accident that caused injury as well. I called the Fitbit support and they told me the warranty doesn't cover damage caused by accidents, which totally understandable. But there is no repair store or anywhere I could replace the screen. It’s ridiculous!

Now how can I repair my watch? There should be a process for this kind of situation. What can I do now?

Sorry to hear about your watch. I was very sad when mine cracked too.
Even though it still works the reason I bought it was because it was water
resistent and could be used for swimming. You can't do that with a cracked
screen. Live and learn. Poor customer service.

I was offered nothing and mine cracked mysteriously overnight in bed after 6 weeks. Am still wearing it but have fallen out of love with Fitbit and when it dies I will be getting another brand, I wanted it for swimming and they told me not to wear it in water now it’s cracked 😂😂.

After reading this thread and seeing the number of complaints and seemingly zero support from Fitbit I won’t even bother putting myself through the miserable experience.  Question now is Garmin or Apple.

I’m planning to get an Apple Watch for Christmas. Fitbit had the nerve to reply to my Twitter post and pretend they were going to help me but I actually heard from anyone.

It may depend on how much you want to spend.

This makes sick.  I dropped my Fitbit after switching wrist to swim with as it will stop working part way through my swim workout if I wear it on my dominant wrist.  Well the upper corner of the screen is cracked now.  I’ve only have had it for a few months.  Fitbit used to have good customer service.  Plan to contact customer service but this doesn’t sound promising.

I have had 3 fitbits and have purchased them for friends. Now, my screen broke on my Versa and I seem to have no legit options. I have had my watch for a while and it broke by barely having an impact. There needs to he a process to send them in for screen repair and or a stronger screen.

I can’t believe how many posts there are about the cracked screens and inconsistency of offers made by Fitbit about the Versa and they are still selling them. Mine cracked after six weeks with no impact last September. I am still waiting for my Apple Watch from hubby but Xmas is coming lol

My thoughts exactly. I emailed my butt off with that same complaints "all the post about this expensive watch screen breaking/cracking and FITBIT is still selling it without improvements. Nor are they repairing or given an alternative for the constant issue"

I finally received a response replacing the watch itself not the band but if I chose the watch replacement over the 50% discount I could not get any warranty or another replacement of something happened to it.

I'LL NEVER BUT FITBIT AGAIN!

AGREED, the outside company's I found while I was going through the situation were charging just as much to fix the screen as a brand new watch would cost

Been reading all of the above after I tripped and glass on Fitbit cracked - all in perfect working order though - I will now be looking to Apple for my next smart watch - quite shocking no repairs available for Fitbit doesn’t seem like good practice

I got my fitbit versa as a birthday present 2 months ago and I dropped it while changing the band it immediately shattered. I spoke to the fitbit customer care center and all they could tell me was there was no place to get it repaired. I then asked if there was somewhere I could purchase a new screen.. the reply was just "no". No help, R3500 down the drain.

My screen did not crack or scratched or got any shock. Just went for a dip nearby river( I am not a swimmer) , came back kept the versa to dry off, next morning I wake up and screen starts behaving erratically, flashing ,lines, going off coming back up again, screen started fluctuating.. when I spoke to Fitbit, that isn't it supposed to be waterproof, they said yes, but your warranty is with the retailer you bought the watch from ,not Fitbit. Ridiculous.

My expiry lapsed in next 2 days.

Tried to get a replacement screen back in Gray market, but no luck.

Unfortunately, I had gifted a same watch to my wife just two months before this incident. I wish I had known this ,I wouldn't have bought another Fitbit bull**ahem** .

It’s no wonder that Fitbit is struggling financially and has now been sold off.  They had once had great customer service, but no longer.  I now cringe when I get emails about getting a free band if I upgrade to a versa 2.  I’m like yeah right, never again!  I’m currently stuck with the versa with a broken screen that will shock me if I wear it.

Probably fitbit have made from you their money. You have bouth versa. So that google buy fitbit is that right now they dont have smart watch. with that they will get pebble and fitbit know how and also big customer data with opportunity to sell users new cool watch and accessories.

and last i think owners of fitbit have made money. all is winners after users ho does not have working fitbits.

There's a whole other problem with versa screens where they just fall off.  You'll look at your wrist one day and the screen is hanging by it's ribbon.  Fitbit is no help and you can't find anywhere to replace the glue.  Horrible company

Worse they are selling to Google whose stated intent is to track your every move and market based on your movement habits. Hope you don't jog past Taco Bell!
