I’ve got my Versa less than 3 weeks ago. It’s working fine but the screen is broken 2 days ago by accident that caused injury as well. I called the Fitbit support and they told me the warranty doesn't cover damage caused by accidents, which totally understandable. But there is no repair store or anywhere I could replace the screen. It’s ridiculous!
Now how can I repair my watch? There should be a process for this kind of situation. What can I do now?
Moderator edit: subject for clarity
If you had a new car and the windshield fell out of it when you went over a small bump and the manufacturer refused to replace it, or have any way to fix it, would you go buy another car from the same manufacturer? I wouldn’t.

Best Answer@EPPack I think you would be fine with a Sense. You are already aware that they are not designed for direct impact, and that the standard warranty doesn't cover accidental damage.
I have always tried to be mindful of mine and have have A Blaze and three Verses. No cracked screens in 5 years. And there has been incidents where I was surprised. They are definitely nicked up.
I've had my Charge2 for over 4 years, wear it every day, and it's still working fine too. Then again, unlike my hubs, I'm accustomed to wearing a watch/device daily, so maybe that's at least partly why I've had no problems compared to him, I'm always aware of it, even tho I do understand weird accidents can and do happen. But since I want to upgrade, I would definitely get the cover too, hearing all of this. Is there any sense that the Versa and the Sense may be about the same in terms of this breakage? Is one any better than the other, everything else being equal?
@EPPack I'd think they'd all be about the same? There was the same complaining about the Blaze. Never cracked mine. I'd just get what appealed to me. Costco has the Sense for $260 right now.
I don't know anything about fitness/smart devices other than Fitbit, and I will not EVER purchase anything from Apple. How do the Garmins compare to the Versa? I have a Charge 2 and was planning to upgrade to the Versa but I'm feeling hinky about this now 😞
Best Answer@EPPack I've only had Fitbit too. Have read they have the best app. And I have 5 years of data on Fitbit.
I've never had a problem with glass breakage or firmware updates. Did have battery issues with the Versa 1 and had two replacements. Chat support was very easy and helpful. My second Versa replacement is probably around 18 Months now no problems other than I think the battery is getting a little tired.
There was just as many complaints about glass breakage ever since I joined. Complainers about bricked devices every time there's a firmware update.
Supposedly the Versa 2 doesn't like the update making it more like the Versa 3 and Sense? Haven't seen Fitbit acknowledge there's a problem and I don't see retailers taking any Fitbits off the shelf?
My Versa 1 is still going strong but if the battery keeps getting worse, I would even like to try a Versa 2 just out of curiosity. Places like Costco have a great return policy so what's to lose?
As for competitor products, this is a Fitbit forum so any mention of other products will get deleted. .

Hi everyone,
Thank you for the details mentioned. Just wanted to clarify that the Versa's screen can't be replaced. If your watch's screen has been damaged, please contact our Support team and they'll be happy to provide the options available which are based in the Fitbit Warranty.
As of now, this thread will be closed, bear in mind that you can always create your own thread or contact our Support team if your Fitbit is damaged.
See you around.
