How do I use Versa 2 Run Tracking - New User

Hello Fitbit Community! I got a Versa 2 to replace my Apple Watch 2 for Christmas (shout out to this amazing battery life - Apple Watch barely made it through the day). I am a runner, and am trying to figure out the best way to track my runs.

I know there is exercise logging feature that I can “start” in the app at the beginning of my runs that does GPS and has audio at every mile to tell me how fast I am going, distance, etc. and I love that! But I also know the watch does automatic exercise tracking as well. I had both going my last run because I did not know which to use, and it logged the one I manually started on my phone (which is fine because the automatic exercise on the watch started a little late), but I also like being able to see my stats as I go on my watch! I also want to make sure everything is being logged in my watch stats (active minutes, etc).

Basically, what is the best way to do this? I want GPS (I do run with my phone always in case of emergency), the audio with states, the watch stats showing while running, and everything tracked. Do I just need to start both the app and the watch at the beginning of my run?

Thank you all in advance!

@akseay28 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with tracking your runs with your new Versa 2. You can get GPS data using your Versa 2 linked with your phone by starting the recording from the Versa 2 itself. This is the method I would recommend you use but you won't get Voice Cues as this is part of the app. I guess you can try using only one of the methods at a time and see which one fits you best. You can also check the manual for more information about your Versa 2.

Let me know how it goes.
