How does the Strava app work on the Versa?  Mine keeps telling me No Recent Activity.  I've run several times.  Do I need to download the Strava app to my phone?

@Natashaj13 to turn off the device, hold the home button down (5-10 seconds). If Alexa pops up, just keep holding the button down until the device turns off. Then, press it again to turn back on.

@Flashpoint777 thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that fix did not work for me. Still searching...

From the Fitbit app store.

I had the exact same issue.  After authorizing on the app on my phone, I had to do a complete shutdown and restart of my fitbit.  ONLY after doing this, did it finally sync up.

I had to do a complete shut down and restart of my fitbit Versa to finally get them to sync.

Mine still refuses to connect.  Followed all the steps, both sides claim to be authorized.

It's just spotty. I tried all the fixed listed across this (and several other threads), including shutting off and unlinking/relinking, and nothing worked. Still, the Versa 2 app does not show any Strava activity. But, after just importing the data to Strava for a couple months, randomly it starting working if I run with both Strava and the Versa 2 run apps logging at the same time. The Fitbit activity (including heart rate so I get the benefits of Summit) has started syncing...then I just delete the Strava one. Only flaw now is that the Fitbit usually adds 0.25 miles for every 3 I run, which is bit inflated. Not sure why since it uses the exact same phone sensor and is running at the exact same time.

Hi,

When you mentioned in your explanation it won’t transfer non GPS acitivities from fitbit to strava, is that just if the fitbit hasn’t been linked to your phone throughout the run/activity? (i.e. i left my phone in the house and went out on a run with my fitbit)

I connected fitbit and strava succesfully but  notting happens in strava. Dissapointed on the versa 2 for running (Which was my main goal)

Go to this website to link the accounts: https://strava.fitbit.com/

Once done, be sure to only track the exercise on your Versa 2 (Strava will not transfer a duplicate activity if you track using the phone too, and won't capture HR data if you track using the phone only.)

For some reason the Versa 2 Strava app still doesn't show any activities, but at least the Versa 2 tracked runs/bike rides/hikes are automatically loaded to Strava now.

Ok I feel you. so I got mine to work, after 3 days, connecting Fitbit to strava and strava to Fitbit. But the frustration doesn’t end, as the app on Fitbit is pretty limited. It only shows your last 10 rides. Why do I need to see this on my watch? If there was a way to start a ride from my strava app, that would be awesome but you have to start the ride from the phone app.

I have the strava app sync'd up on my fitbit versa.  If I click the strava app on my watch, it shows my previous 10 activities. BUT it rarely updates.  For example, currently the most recent activity is May 30th, but I have a run and/or walk every day of June so far... not showing.

I dunno...

>From what I read online after my original post, it appears the Versa does not have a GPS built in.  Instead, it relies on the GPS in the phone.  As a result, if you want your workouts to be "synced" by Strava, you have to have your phone with you, with Strava running.  Seems like it defeats the purpose of having it on the Versa if you have to have your phone with you as well.

That is not accurate. Do NOT track on your watch and Strava app...that will be a duplicate activity and Strava will not use any data from Fitbit (i.e. no heart rate).

You absolutely need your phone with you when using the Versa/Versa 2 to capture GPS, which is required for Strava to sync (Strava only syncs GPS related workouts.)

After syncing Fitbit and Strava online (strava.fitbit.com), only track the run/walk/bike/hike on the Versa watch. Then, all of the data, heart rate included for Summit users, will sync accordingly. Mine usually syncs within seconds of stopping the workout on my Versa 2.

To add to that note above, the Strava app on the Versa 2 watch still does not work accordingly. But, at least my activities sync to Strava well.

I found that Strava only shows activity on a Fitbit Versa 2 if the activity had been classified as “run”. Any other activity (eg. Cycling or inline skating) is not synced to other versa.

is it possible to resolve this?

Even though my apps were both linked, I kept getting the same error messages where I couldn’t see my Strava runs on my watch. Open the Fitbit app. Click on the strange icon on top left of screen (a person?).  Then select the 4th item in the list (should be Versa 2).Then from the Grid screen, select Gallery and scroll down to Strava. Select Strava and here you have a link to log into Strava. Do this. Then sync your watch with your phone or tablet and tadah! you should be functional! I took screenshots but couldn’t work out how to add them!
