Hi. First time I ran with my phone with strava and my fitbit versa. I ended up getting 2 results as I was not sure if the versa would sync.
I ran this morning and it didn't sync at all this time.
Q1. Does my phone and watch have to "connect" before the run in order for GPS to work on my watch?
Q2. If it does connect, can I leave my phone behind and run with just my watch, or do I have to run with both?
Thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Leily.
Thank you for your questions about how to track your runs.
R1. We recommend waiting a few moments for GPS to connect. You can begin the activity as your Fitbit Versa 2 tries to find a signal. (Note that your watch uses your step count to calculate distance until GPS is connected). For instructions on how to use GPS on your Versa 2, please visit this article.
R2. Your Versa 2 doesn't have integrated GPS but it uses the sensors on your nearby phone to capture GPS data (connected GPS). In order to have a GPS connection you'll need to keep your phone at least within 30 feet of your Fitbit device during an activity.
You can see what information is transferred between your Fitbit and Strava accounts in this post.
