I am recovering from cancer. Just getting my energy back and learning to walk again, using a tall rollator/walker. Literally taking it one step at a time. Using the rollator My arms are bent at a 45 degree angle and forearms rest on armrest instead of using hands. Keeps me standing straighter this way. Bought versa because I really need to track my sleeps right now. I seem to wake up a lot at night during treatment and never actually know how much solid sleep I get. So far I’m impressed this feature seems to work well. Once I am awake I am moving but using a rollator to get around. I notice it doesn’t track well if at all. Just went grocery shopping and it didn’t track any steps. I am guessing because I am gliding along. I like it on my wrist to track heart rate. Any ideas on how to get it to track steps?

Hi @Love2swim , using that type of walker (or pushing a shopping trolly) it will not track steps well at all as it cant 'feel' your steps. I put mine in my pocket when I use a trolly and it tracks steps well, so I think that would be the best thing for you to do. As you say, you wont get heart rate, but on your wrist it has no way of knowing you are taking steps.

I'm a person who uses a rollator too. I have found that if I make my primary goal as distance instead of steps, it seems to be more accurate. Being able to calculate when I am out and at home.
Fitbit should have other alternatives than steps. Best to you.
