Inaccurate distance before syncing with the app

Hi, 

Versa suddenly stopped calculating distance accurately. Though I walk/run 5 miles, the distance shown is less than 2 miles. But when I sync it with phone app, versa corrects itself. I tried all suggested methods - reset Fitbit Versa, updating the app, keeping gps turned on all time. Nothing seem to fix the problem. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshoot performed. It's pretty weird that the distance is showing incorrectly when your Versa syncs. 

I would like you to make sure that there are no activities logged that might be affecting the data that's syncing. Also, make sure you have the latest app version of the app which was fully released today, you can check it out here. 

I would like you to provide me with screenshots of the information you're receiving before syncing and after.
