Could you please consider making the Versa compatible with the Google Pixel 2 XL? I am so bummed that I hear it's not compatible....

Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity
For what it's worth, I have a pixel 2 XL and the versa works just fine. I get all of my notifications and exercise tracking works great. The only thing I can't do is control music but to me that really doesn't matter. My headphones have buttons on them anyways.
I have the pixel 2 and can't get my phone to connect to the versa can you tell me how yours did
Those saying it works fine... Are you able to respond to text messages on it?
For what it's worth, I've had nonstop syncing issues. And resetting issues. And a whole bunch of other stuff. I'm teetering on the edge of a return daily.
As a workaround, I upgraded to Windows 10 and got a Fitbit wireless dongle... Doesn't work... Sigh.
The ability to quick reply hasn't been rolled out to everyone yet.
Mine has no syncing issues. It works way better than my Blaze. Maybe you got a bad one?

Best AnswerThe Versa updates when you first turn it on, then I updated the app through the playstore to version 32.32.4.19. Some people have gotten the update to their Versa already- they said when they opened the app, there was a big banner at the top asking them to update their Versa. I read that rollout is only happening for 10% of Versa owners right now. They'll roll it out to everyone after making sure it's ready- hopefully the next couple of weeks. I have a knockoff bluetooth scale that syncs w Fitbit without any issues.
There's a Facebook Versa group too that might be more helpful.
Best AnswerI have a Pixel 2 XL and everything is working fine . Syncs properly and music controls work. I don't have the update that includes quick reply so I can't comment on that .
To get music controls to work you need to go to Settings on the watch.
Go to Bluetooth Connection Options.
Click Music via Bluetooth until Pair is shown.
Go to Bluetooth on your phone and select Pair new device.
On phone select the Versa (Classic) device.
Your phone should now be paired with your Versa.
Music Controls are in the same menu where Versa pay is. So long hold the back button (physical button on the left of watch face).
**maybe the Versas without pay will default to music controls. I don't know.**
Swipe right to bring up Music Controls.
Press the three dots on the bottom left.
Change the source between Versa or Phone. Watch is left icon phone is right. You want to press the one on the right to control your phones music.
Then press the back button again.
On your phone open your music app. (I use Spotify) Start playing something.
You should see the song title and the ability to pause, play, forward, and back. Plus and minus on the top and bottom right controls the volume .

Hope that helps .
Best AnswerWhat version of android are you running?
Best AnswerYour instructions worked great! Just have to make sure that you pair "Versa (Classic)" and not "Versa".
Once you've got the pairing done and music source changed, just swipe down for notifications and tap on the song playing. The controls will pop up.

Best AnswerI had problems with mine, sometimes it would work and then days would pass before being able to sync. Than I turned on the "Widget Keep-Alive" options and it started syncing super easily.
Hopes this helps.
