That's not a function of the tracker. Only thing I can suggest is that you turn off mobile data on your phone.
One thing I have noticed on my phone (Pixel 3) is if I go into settings/apps/fitbit/mobile data & wifi I have an option called "background data" to enable usage of mobile data in the background. Maybe turning that off will help?
Best AnswerTurning off background data on your phone app settings will not stop the Versa 2 from using your cell data.
I believe as long as the Versa 2 is connected via Bluetooth to your phone, it will be able to use data and there is no way around this. It is very annoying for those of us who would like to use the watch as intended and frequently. Not everyone has huge data allowances on their phone plan but Fitbit seems to not care.
I agree. I would have never purchased this product if i would have known prior.
I guess my other question would be, just how much data does this watch use with the constant syncing? I to don't have unlimited data and am now curious.
