I just got my versa a few days ago and the watch face will not turn on when I flip my wrist. I have to hit the button on the left to see the time. How can I fix this? I don't seem a setting for this.

This was very helpful tip! Holding rhe button down on left and selecting quick access fixed the problem with screen light not coming on when flipping my wrist

I have the same issue. The only fix (not really a good one) is to set so that it always shows time and date. This is the 3rd Fitbit (first Versa 2)I have bought. Non of the others had this issue at all. New features and look is great, but very disappointed in this deficiency. What a shame. I really thought that Fitbit had a real competitive product to the Apple Watch.

Update
If you are using the new version of the watch software you need to check the following.
1 In the Fitbit app under watch settings make sure quick view is set to ON
2 When you now swipe down on the watch to view notifications there is a settings bar that shows up for a second or two. The first option on the left of this bar is for music the middle option is for payments and the right hand option is for more setting. Tap the option for more settings and 4 more options appear. The bottom right option looks like a watch. Tap the icon until it says motion control. This should mean that the motion of raising your wrist will turn the screen on.

make sure "sleep Mode" is off
on any screen, draw finger from top of screen down, hit the settings top right and make sure night mode is off
all other settings in terms of screen brightness etc should then be functional

On mine, I just pull down the notification bar on the Fitbit versa and it gives me quick settings. Click on the option that looks like sideways dog tags & then click on the picture of the watch. Give 2 options automatic turn on (where it turns on by flick of wrist) or manual turn on (where you have to click button on left side of watch to view). Hope this helps anyone who needs it! They made these watches kind of confusing to set up!

I have done all of this. I just got the Versa 2 earlier this week ( I got it Monday and today is Friday) and it was working fine. I upgraded from regular Versa (due to it glitching out and they already replaced it once, maybe buying another Fitbit was a mistake). Anyway, wrist flip worked at first and today I noticed it wasn't have working. I've checked all of the settings, it was on Auto Motion, View is on, I've tried restarting it, switching settings from off to on and restarting, nothing is working. Please help!
