Can you try uninstalling the Fitbit app on your phone and reinstalling it, then try the set up process again.

Best AnswerThis happened to me also. I had to simply update the fitbit app, it appeared it required an update.
When I searched for the fitbit app using the android Play Store app I found that an update was available, installed it, and then the setup worked fine. .... good luck
