Hello @dejavu22 and welcome to the Community.  The Versa 3 isn't compatible with an iMac or a Macbook -- there is no Fitbit app for your Mac.  It is only compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.  You have a web dashboard at fitbit.com.  You can view your account, but you cannot sync with it.  You also need to be aware that some of the features like the Health Metrics, Stress Management, workouts, and mindfulness audio/videos are only on the mobile app.

Who would think that? It is better to see on the computer than the phone. Is this mentioned in the information when purchasing? Should be and if it was I did not see this as probably hidden. Also your support on line is undesirable and very difficult and I would like to look at my Fitbit watch and see the time like a watch not to have to push a button every time. Inconvenient most the time as awkward when doing other things. May just return the Fitbit. Thank you for responding.

@dejavu22   I looked at your profile and can see that you are a long time Fitbit user.  It is easier to see a lot of your information on the web dashboard.  It's not exactly hidden that you need a smartphone/tablet.  It's on the box that you need a compatible device to set it up.  IMHO, the font on the box is at the lowest level of human perception.  Every current Fitbit needs a smartphone/tablet.

While you need a smartphone to set up and sync a Versa 3, you can view a lot of your data on the web dashboard.  But not everything.

You mention pressing the button just to see the time.  That sounds like a simple setting fix.  Swipe to the right on your Versa 3 screen to see your Quick Settings.  There's a "watch" icon in the middle of the bottom row.  Make sure it is lit up.  It needs to be bright blue for your screen wake to be automatic.
