Notifications on Desktop App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Versa 2 Lite.

The issue is with the desktop app.

My latest notification is ONLY 1,446 days old.(6/18/2018) which is about the time I bought the device.

I'd like to delete these notifications so I could see more recent history.

This what I tried: I went to the clock face and scrolled down. There is NO option for notifications.

I rebooted both the device and phone numerous times.

I scrolled down on the desktop app and there is a refresh icon at the very bottom of the notifications, but it does nothing.

I went to the mobile app and poked around. I did find a setting for notification but the only thing that has is a list of the kinds of notifications I want to track.

What I did not try is to remove the device entirely and reinstall it. That would be very inconvenient. Also it seems like a lot of work for something that should be trivial.

Hello @Dan_NC

On your Versa lite

  • To delete 1 notification, open it and swipe right.
  • To delete all notifications at once, swipe up to the bottom of your notifications and tap Clear All.

Sometimes pressing “Clear all”, in some instances a few stick around. If you try to delete the pesky notification(s), you might get the message “Action Failed, this notification has expired and is no longer valid”.

If you are experiencing this issue, the first thing to do is try restarting your Fitbit Versa lite: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm

You can also try changing your click face if your running into issues

😉 Hopefully this helps. Please let me know if this helps resolve the problem

@Dan_NC   Can you please clarify something?  When you say "desktop app", are you referring to the Fitbit app for Windows 10 or the web dashboard at fitbit.com?  I looked at your profile and saw that you posted a similar question in 2020 and got no responses.

Also to clarify, there is a Versa 2 and a Versa Lite, but there is no Versa 2 Lite.  I assume you use a Versa Lite, based on your other posts.

Hello @Dan_NC

The Fitbit app for Windows 10 hasn't been updated in quite awhile. My understanding is that Fitbit is now focusing on Mobile Apps (Android, iOS) tablets. Basically phasing out The computer. I’m afraid your not gonna be able to delete those old notifications. Do you happen to have a mobile app you can use to connect to your Fitbit? You can delete notifications that way…there is not a delete all feature. (I’d love that myself) but you can slide each notification to the left and a delete button will appear. Honestly based on how many notifications you say you need to delete it would certainly take forever. I would weigh out how much it means to you and if need be you can always still use your computer to interact with the Fitbit App and use the mobile device to delete notifications. If you decide to do that make sure you don’t have your Fitbit Tracker connected to both your computer and mobile device at the same time because that could cause conflict/confusion

But do know when  it comes to the Window 10 Fitbit app notifications they should delete themselves every 30 days, so the oldest ones if they're more than 30 days old they should disappear. Anything newer will stay. If this is not occurring for you can log out of the Fitbit app and log back in. Hopefully that will work for you.
