Pairing two Versa at the same time to the same account

I have a Versa that is paired to my account.  I received a second Versa as a present.  The iOS app will not let me pair both at the same time.  The app wants to remove the first Versa to install the second.  The goal was to be able to swap back and forth between them with one with a nice band and the other with a more athletic style band.  The app will accept one of everything so why not two or even three of the same thing?  Am I missing something on pairing the second Versa.  Very annoying to think a device that is nice enough to wear in all but the most formal occasions and is at the same time a good walking or workout device is not supported in multiple numbers on the same account at the same time.

Hello and welcome to the forums @onclewillie

You can't have two of the same style of Fitbit on a single account at one time. You could do one of two things. One, swap bands when you want to change them. Two, you can swap devices by logging out and setting the second one as a new device on an existing account. It's not perfect, but it does give you the ability to keep adding steps to one account.

Think you might be able to do that and keep on stepping? Nice present you got, too!

Thanks for the response.  I was hoping someone else would respond and declare there was a way to pair two of the same watch to the same account at the same time.  Apparently not.  I am simply going to put the other watch into the drawer and take it out once the current watch dies.  Now if FitBit would do a small amount of programing to allow multiple incidences of the same model at the same time on the same account it would really make my day.  If you can have a dozen devices on one account albeit different models they can surely figure a way to allow two or more of the same device at the same time.  Enough to make a retired computer scientist and programmer just scream in frustration.  Smiley Very Happy
